WHCA Total Fitness Program

Our OB/GYN practice is excited to offer a 12-week weight loss program using compounded semaglutide in addition to a structured food plan and regular exercise.

This program, new in 2025, is an intensive medication-assisted weight-loss program.  It incorporates weekly nutrition counseling, exercise, and is designed to help our patients lose weight in a healthful and sustainable way. Please see below for program specifics.

The schedule:

  1. Prior to starting the program, you will have a lab visit for fasting blood work. A week later, you will have an initial visit during office hours with one of our nurse practitioners or physicians to go over the program, obtain measurements, review those laboratory tests, and evaluate if you qualify for the program. This appointment will be billed to your insurance.

  2. Once you are eligible for the program, you will attend a one-hour group class with Amy to go over the food plan. This is scheduled on a Tuesday or Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at our Littleton office.

  3. There will be weekly appointments on Wednesdays from 5-6 p.m. at our Littleton office in which you will have small-group nutritional education for 30 minutes and receive your injection. You will also meet with our medical staff for 10-15 minutes at each of these visits to ensure you are tolerating the medication well and avoiding any complications. We will also address any side effects you may be experiencing. This schedule will continue for a total of eight weeks.

  4. After eight weeks you can then decide to continue with Amy’s nutritional services on an individual basis (these can be done virtually or in person); or, if you feel you have a good handle on the nutrition, you can just come in to get your weekly injection and see a provider for a 10-15 minute visit. This schedule will continue for an additional four weeks. After this time, you will be in the maintenance phase and can have appointments for your injections during regular business hours.
